We take this opportunity to convey to you the following message from the organizers of the 2020 Inter-Agency Games (IAG):
“The global pandemic COVID-19 has presented the international community with extremely complicated and quickly evolving challenges. After weeks of intensive information-gathering and discussion amongst the IAG Organizing Committee and the IAG Secretariat, it has been decided to cancel the 2020 Inter-Agency Games scheduled for 3 to 7 June in Copenhagen. This decision has been reached to safeguard the health and well-being of staff, retirees, supporters, their families and friends, the health of the hosting country’s citizens and the citizens of the countries where participants travel from.
The Organizing Committee is looking into the possibility of hotel reimbursements. We will stay in contact with you, providing further information as it becomes available. If there are any specific questions, please email us at: iag2020@un.org.
Anyone who obtained a visa to Denmark with the official letter for the 2020 Inter-Agency Games, please be advised that it no longer valid and will not be accepted due to its special purpose for the games which are cancelled.
Thank you for your understanding and the support you have given the Organizing Committee through the initial preparations. Please take care of yourselves and your families. We wish each of you well and hope to see you at the next Inter-Agency Games!”.
